These pans are required if using propane and is an added factor of safety for natural gas as well. Precisely manufactured to fit our fire rings. Square and octagon made of 18 gauge stainless steel with a 2" solid wall and a 7/8" center hole to perfectly fit a 1/2" gas pipe . IMPORTANT: If you are using propane as your gas source you must use a sealed pan with your burner to contain the propane gas and prevent pre-ignition leakage. Propane must be handled with absolute care. It is a heavy gas and can accumulate in low-lying areas, causing it to ignite intermittently. This pan is not a stand alone fire pit, it is to be used as an insert. This pan must be full of media i.e. glass, sand, lava rock to absorb heat and prevent possible warping.
